Day 16: Song
I Want Somebody to B***h About by Kristin Chenoweth
I love the carefree nature of this song, while it’s essentially saying ‘I want somebody to love.’ It makes me forget that I’m listening to a song that’s basically about being lonely.
Day 15: Song
What I Love About Sundays by Craig Morgan
Some Sundays I dread coming home from work to a noisy house full of family.
This was one of the Sundays that I cherished it. It was laid back. I didn’t have to deal with certain unpleasant people. I got to relax, have some dinner, and some great conversation with some family.
Day 12: Song
I’m Gonna Love You Through It by Martina McBride
Today there was a funeral luncheon being held at The Pub. I don’t know the circumstances surrounding the loss of the person being mourned, but it got me thinking about my mom. Recently, whenever I think about her, I think about this song. Even though this song makes me wanna cry, it also makes me proud because the love described in the song is exactly the type of love that I know my dad had for my mom. He loved her all the way through to the end. And he still does.
As do I.
Day 7: Song
Country Man by Luke Bryan
I am on a huge Luke Bryan kick. This song is one of my favorites. It’s just goofy and so much fun. The music video also captures that feeling. It was filmed by Luke while he was on tour. It features him and the members of his band just fooling around and having fun.
I need to find myself a good ole country man.
Day 6: Song
All Your Life by The Band Perry
“Lately I’ve been writing desperate love songs. I mostly sing them to the wall.”
This is exactly how I feel right now. I have all this love and romanticism in me and I have no one to share it with. Of course, I have my family and friends, and I’m so thankful for them, but I’m still looking for that one special person with whom I can be romantic.
“You could be the center of my obsession, if you’d notice me at all.”
I just want one guy to notice me.
It’s not that I define myself on whether others notice me or not, or what they think of me, but it’d be nice to be noticed, and in a good way.
Is that to much to ask?
Day 2: Song
I Don’t Want This Night to End by Luke Bryan
I was watching The Bachelor tonight and just the prospect of new love and opportunities got me into that romantic mushy mood [even with all the crazies]. This song gives me that same feeling.
So, I’ve decided to try out this Project 365/366 idea. It will definitely be a challenge for me, but I think it will help me to post more. These posts will be different from my basic posts, but they won’t be the only thing I’ll be posting all year. I’m hoping that by doing this project, it will cause me to log on every day and post when I have something more to say. However, I make no promises, other than to try my best.
The Project posts will all be based on a song, quote or picture that just feels right that day. It could be because of something that happened, how I was feeling, what I was thinking about, or I just happened to come across it then.
I’m a few days behind, but I had some ideas for what to post that just seemed to fit the past couple days, so I’ll play a little catch-up rather than staring day one on the fourth.
Day 1: Song:
Red Solo Cup by Toby Keith
THIS WAS MY JAM for New Years! Haha. We were celebrating my cousin’s 21st birthday so a drinking song seemed appropriate. =D
Days 2-4 soon to follow.
P.S. Just a bit of fair warning… I’m a huge country music fan. If that’s not your cup of tea, feel free to ignore the songs I post. =P
