Project 366–Day 9

Day 9: Video

This video gets me laughing everytime I watch it. It’s a humorous approach at a PSA for The American Cancer Society. This video is also the basis for multiple inside jokes between my best friend and I.

Project 366–Day 8

Day 8: Picture

That’s me, second row, all the way to the left.

Tonight I went to a Holiday Bowling party that my managers had arranged for all the employees of the pub where I work. Initially, I was really excited to go, but then I found out that none of the girls I was really close with, were able to go. I decided to go anyway because I had already mentioned to my manager that I would be there. Also, it never hurts to create friendships with my other coworkers.

I am SO SO SO glad I went. It was an awesome night filled with bowling [horribly on my part], drinks, and laughter. After the women running the bowling alley turned down the music, turned up the lights, and started sweeping the other lanes [essentially kicking us out], we decided to go back to the pub for some more drinks.

At the beginning of the night, I felt like I was on the outskirts, like I didn’t really belong. By the end, though, these girls made me feel like I was just another part of the group.

I still wish that some of my faves had been there, but it was a great night regardless.

Project 366–Day 7

Day 7: Song

Country Man by Luke Bryan

I am on a huge Luke Bryan kick. This song is one of my favorites. It’s just goofy and so much fun. The music video also captures that feeling. It was filmed by Luke while he was on tour. It features him and the members of his band just fooling around and having fun.

I need to find myself a good ole country man.

I’ll wait.

Project 366–Day 6

Day 6: Song

All Your Life by The Band Perry

“Lately I’ve been writing desperate love songs. I mostly sing them to the wall.”

This is exactly how I feel right now. I have all this love and romanticism in me and I have no one to share it with. Of course, I have my family and friends, and I’m so thankful for them, but I’m still looking for that one special person with whom I can be romantic.

“You could be the center of my obsession, if you’d notice me at all.”

I just want one guy to notice me.

It’s not that I define myself on whether others notice me or not, or what they think of me, but it’d be nice to be noticed, and in a good way.

Is that to much to ask?

I’ll wait.

Project 366–Day 5

Day 5: Video

Paranormal Mahna Mahna

I’m adding another category to my project, videos. I know that everytime I’ve posted a song, it has been the music video, but these aren’t music videos. They can be any kind of video, funny, touching, or informative.

I went to my sister’s house tonight for dinner and we were watching the show Paranormal State. I was reminded of this video that I had seen on Ryan Buell’s twitter. It’s a funny video sort of making fun of how much he says phenomenon on the show. Enjoy!

Project 366–Day 4

Day 4: Quote

“You are stronger than you seem, braver than you believe, and smarter than you think.” –A.A. Milne, Christopher Robin to Winnie the Pooh

This is one of my all time favorite quotes. Everybody needs someone to see the best in them. When I’m feeling particularly down on myself, I remember this quote.

Yet again, it has been way too long since I’ve posted.

Not too much has changed in my life since my last post. I still work at my same job. I’m still in a rut concerning my future. I’m still single and waiting for my prince charming.

Now, this is probably just wishful thinking, but I often get a strong sense of deja vu, and at times when I am absolutely certain that I was never in the situation before. Recently, however, I’ve been getting this sense of a foreshadowing of future memories.

For instance, while watching The Bachelor this past Monday, I had a moment of remembering what it feels like to hold hands with a new love interest. Sadly, this is an experience I’ve never had. Actually, as depressing as it is to admit, I’ve never been in a relationship. I’ve never been on a date. I’ve never even been kissed. And I’m 21 years old!

Call me a freak, but it didn’t feel like I was imagining what it might feel like. It was like I was reliving the moment and the feeling. I have no way to explain how that could be anywhere near possible. And I’m not sure it is.

And I want this to mean that it’s coming for me. That’s it’s almost my turn to have those feelings. That sounds crazy, though.

I’ll probably just chalk it up to my imagination and my wishful romanticism.

I’ll just continue to hope for my epic love story.

And I’ll wait.
